At StolzUSA, we have designed a number of web sites using various
technologies.

Those are web site that can be maintained by a webmaster, even
though such person has no background in Web Technologies,
HTML or even computer software.
- Bruno David - Illustrator

Bruno David is a talented illustrator, who is introducing himself in
the new world of the digital age. Bruno has no knowledge of any
web technologies or any other back-office systems, his computer
aptitude is limited to basic editors.
However, Bruno needed a web site in which he could post all of his
illustration so he could forward an editor to his web site, in lieu
of a portfolio. For security reasons, Bruno's work could not be
exposed to theft and a mechanism to prevent easy stealing of
documents had to be put in place.
Because of his limited knowledge, a Front-Page solution was not
feasible.
This side is completely dynamic, without any server-side components
and all illustrations are available for viewing and printing, but
not saving. In order to maintain his web site, Bruno uses a FTP
client to post images on the web site, and a simple editor such as
notepad to modify a single file on the web site.
Those are web site that can be maintained by the webmaster who
has little background in computer software, but no experience in Web Technologies
or
HTML.
- Aeroyacht Ltd.

Aeroyacht Ltd. is a dealer of sailing and power Catamarans.
Aeroyacht has a staff which is familiar with standard
back-office programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft
Outlook. In this particular assignment, the mission was to
redesign the web site in order to promote the corporate image of
quality and reliability. Aeroyacht Ltd had a specific
requirement, to be able to post movies on its web site, with a
simple Drag and Drop methodology.
This site is designed using Microsoft Front-Page 2003 using
templates and some special tools.
- Island Budokan

The Long-Island Budokan is a Karate Dojo with a growing member
community. They reached a point where a web site became an
important tool for the communication of events and information
about the Dojo.
This site is designed using a combination of static content,
maintained using Microsoft Front-Page 2003 and dynamic content,
maintained in an Access database and serviced by ASP pages.
- About Smiles, Inc.

About Smiles, Inc. is an information & communication company,
providing consumers with current oral health information through
partnerships with corporations, health organizations,
insurances and professionals.
This site is designed using a combination of static content,
maintained using Microsoft Front-Page 2003 and dynamic content,
managed by custom D-HTML components and JavaScript documents.
Those are web site that can be maintained by the webmaster who
has some background in computer software, Web Technologies
and
HTML.
- Welladay Consulting LLC.

Welladay Consulting LLC, is a professional services group who
deals with Business Process Management related technologies. The
emphasis on their web site is mainly to expand their web
presence and they did not want to spend too much time on a
complex site. The goal is to deliver the message, with little
maintenance.
This site is designed using Microsoft Front-Page, with dynamic
templates and dynamic content.
Those are commercial web products that have a full back-end
server and full front-end dynamic technologies.
- Harvard University

Harvard University is an Ivy League university. Some of
Harvard's funding is done through donations from the alumni. A
complex web based service is driving this web site, including a
strong reporting engine. StolzUSA has designed and mentored the
AADNet web site, to provide more functionality to the internal
customers of the site. Because this web site is restricted to
the Harvard community, a link to the specific site cannot be
provided.
This web site is designed using D-HTML and Java Script client
side functionality, and a back-end server on J2EE, Java, JSP and
EJBs with a commercially available database back-end.
- Enterprise Content Management
While employed for a startup company, I have designed and
implemented an entire Enterprise Content Management software
which allows the publication of documents written by business
users (approved using a workflow engine which provides an
approving mechanism). The content presentation is done
automatically and can be managed by the web site administrator.
This complex solution features all the security requirements
expected from a commercial strength system. It is designed in a
number of components with a Fat Client technology
complemented by a Thin Client technology. The back-end is
running any commercially available databases (MS-SQL Server,
Sybase, Oracle, DB2, etc...) and the web server as well (J2EE,
ASP, ASP.Net, IIS, etc...). The Fat Clients are written
in Visual C++ with a few components in Visual Basic, all using a
COM technology for reusability.
